Man beats wife to death in Lagos because she didn’t give him a child

A man was arrested on charges of murder after beating his wife to death because she did not give him a child. 

Lagos State Police said that they have arrested 57-year-old Ikechukwu Anajekwu, after being accused beating his wife, Obiageli Eze, to death because she was unable to conceive. 

The suspect also accused his wife of being behind his problems, including his imprisonment for drug trafficking. 

According to the police investigation, Eze was repeatedly beaten by her husband ever since he was released from prison.

Anajekwu originally told his wife that he owns a restaurant in Brazil, and travels there frequently. 

However, during one of his trips, he was arrested for drug trafficking. 

He was imprisoned in Cameroon, and his wife used to send him money to prison. 

When he was released, their marriage began to crumble. Anajekwu became violent and beat his wife on a regular basis. The man also accused his wife of being a witch.
